East Texas Auto and Motorcycle Show

Races2U has been privileged to attend car shows all over the country, but this had to be one of the best we’ve ever attended.  The East Texas Auto and Cycle Show, though not particularly large by Texas standards, had some of the rarest and most unique vehicles we have ever seen.  The theme of the show changes year to year, and this year the theme was American antique cars and trucks.  These included a 1914 Sunbeam bread van, the first Chevrolet Suburban, and the Pierce Arrow, so rare that only 2 are left in existence.  This particular car was used in the movies “The Sting” and “Oh, God!”.  On top of the rare and unique cars, there was plenty of Texas hospitality, with a barbeque dinner, live music, and lots of friendly people.  This indoor car show raised over $100,000 for the East Texas Crisis Center, and Races2U was proud to be a part of it.   We hope to attend again next year.
