What a fantastic turnout for the car show in West today. Over 1000 cars had preregistered, and even with the blazing heat and long drive, most of them showed up. Texans came from all over the state to support the community, and a few neighbors from Oklahoma and Louisiana made the drive as well. Considering that the closest city to West is Waco, and bigger cities like Austin or Dallas are hours away, it was a fantastic turnout. By the close of the show, but before the final count, Gearheads had raised over $17,000 that will go directly into the city’s coffers to help repair the school and replace firefighting equipment.
