Races2U was asked to set up a couple simulators for a corporate team building event at Texas Motor Speedway. Of course, we love racing, and being around real race cars and drivers. Being asked to setup at a first-class venue like Texas Motor Speedway is a privilege, and we were very excited to be there. The entire facility really is very impressive, and watching and listening to the cars going 170MPH on that 1.5 mile banked oval was quite a thrill.
For those who know the hard-core sim racing world, and real racing as well, the Gold Standard in simulation software is iRacing, which is only for PC. However, NASCAR 2025 for the Playstation 5 was developed by iRacing, and uses the same engine and physics as its online big-brother. This software offers many of the same features, including laser scans of the actual NASCAR tracks and uses the actual cars, drivers, and liveries of the last season, down to minute details. This allowed us to race the same cars on the same track where we were set up. Although the private event was for a group of executives from a large tele-communications company, the people that had the most fun in the simulators were the actual NASCAR drivers themselves. They are a very competitive bunch, and watching them try to best each other and the AI racers was a blast. They all commented on the fun and realism of the software and hardware. If you’re looking for the best in real NASCAR racing, come watch the Wurth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway May 1-3. If you’re looking for the best in simulator, slot car, or RC car racing, we’ll bring it to you!
