As many of you long term Races2U fans know, while we still provide the best mobile racing experience around the country, we also had a retail store in Austin for over 8 years. The store, like much of the rest of the country, closed down in March of 2020 and never reopened. We were fortunate enough to survive COVID with our mobile business still intact. However, many people really missed coming to our store to race with us, host parties, or buy cars, tracks, and supplies. Due to popular demand, we are opening again in the Austin area. Races2U is partnering with The Hobby Shop in Leander. The Hobby Shop, which opened in 2022, was already offering some RC racing, including drift racing on a huge indoor track, as well as dirt racing outdoors and even some miniature crawling. Now working together we will bring you slot car racing on different tracks as well. There is also Mini-Z racing, and a wide variety of slot cars and RC cars and controllers available for sale or rent. While we are still ironing out the finer details, we have already begun setting up in the store. Look for our tracks to be built in the coming weeks, and we should be fully operational by the summer.
