The first of several upcoming posts and pictures from our adventures at the Monaco Grand Prix. The first thing that struck us is how absolutely beautiful everything is, and on a scale almost incomprehensible if you haven’t traveled. This is one of the smallest and wealthiest contries on the planet, and the amount of money on display here was enough to stagger the mind. The cliffs of Monter Carlo rising hundreds of feet obove the water provided a spectacular background to all the superyachts in the harbor. Everything and everyone was beautiful- the natural beauty of the rocks and all the flowering plants, to the architcture, to the cars, to the people. This is the true “jet set” level, and to be here requires not only being in good shape financially, but also physically. The city was formed hundreds of years before automobiles, and although there are many drivable streets, most of the commerce and transportation is done on foot. The town is very wakable, but the hills are very steep. Many flights of stairs involved in getting around town. These are just a few shots of someof the town, crowds, and boats.
