A good simulator is made up of several key components- The “Cockpit” or frame that holds most or all of the equipment, the steering wheel, the pedals, the PC or Console and associated software, the monitor(s), and the seat are all basic requirements. Then come additional items like haptic feedback, full motion, surround sound, VR, etc…
With most simulator companies, you are beholden to their manufacturer, and generally won’t offer you options from other vendors. Races2U has relationships with many different vendors. We have options from the most basic and relatively inexpensive to the most realism you can experience outside of a real car. When you buy a simulator from most of the online companies, what you usually get is several boxes of parts and some instructions if you’re lucky. We bring it to you ready to race!

After your simulator is complete, we will have it delivered directly to you, including assembly and installation.
This can vary widely, depending on the features of your sim. The most basic simulator can be constructed for about $5000. Adding features like a high end PC, full motion, multiple monitors, etc… can greatly increase the price. The simulators we most commonly use for many of our events cost about $10,000 each.
A basic simulator generally is between 5-6 feet long, and between 24 to 30 inches wide when using a small monitor. Larger monitors increase the width, but not the length. Mulitple monitors may increase both. Adding full motion may increase both as well. A very high end simulator may occupy 10′ x 10′.
A lot of that depends on your starting budget. Many companies have interchangeable steering wheels and additional options like E-brakes and shifters that can be added on later. PC’s or consoles are relatively easy to upgrade. Seats can be changed and on most frames the position can be adjusted to suit your comfort and style of racing.
