Races2U began when founder and president Warren Peck bought a traditional slot car track for his son’s 5th birthday. They had so much fun with it that they decided to expand their set.
After learning Formula 1 would be coming to Austin and finding out about digital slot cars, Warren thought maybe there would be a way to bring the excitement he and his son enjoyed to race fans around Austin.
Warren started operating out of a concession trailer in 2010. That first track was mounted to the floor, and racers had to stand outside the trailer, but it was a runaway success.
Less than a year later, they added a second trailer, and in 2012, they opened a brick and mortar store. In 2015 they outgrew the previous location and moved to a larger spot. They added other racing themed activations like Simulators and a Pinewood Derby track. The retail location remained open until Covid, but our mobile roots remained strong.
Races2U has grown to service events nationwide, and has set up racing themed activations at some of the most prestigious events and venues around the country.
What started as a dad playing with his son in Austin is now a team of professionals all around the United States.
